Dance is a fundamental part in the PE curriculum at Key Stage 1 and 2. Children love dance because it is a fun and creative subject which allows children to physically expolre and use their imaginations and creativity. Dance workshops provides children with the opportunity to develop fundamental skills such as balance, coordination, team building, problem solving, observing and evaluating. Dance can improve children's confidence and self esteem whilst improving their physical fitness.
Create dance wirral can offer high quality dance provision in schools. The sessions aim to create work which communicates an intention/theme using an appropriate dance style. Students are encouraged to think critically about dance and communicate effectively. Create dance practitioners have experience and knowledge in planning and delivering fun and creative sessions based on the chosen curriculm. The sessions aim to develop children's physical skills and use compositional tools on their own or in groups. The dance sessions could lead up to a performance performed in an assembly or to family and friends.
